Ever get a beautiful lipstick or bronzer or highlighter or whatever that looked amazing on someone else and find it looks like death warmed over on you?
I have found that when shades are too warm/golden like the original Naked palette or every highlighter made from 2012-2017, they tend to have a pronounced yellow undertone to them. My skin has a pink undertone that I try to tone down through neutral foundation, but gets emphasized with golden make-up. Just a take a spin around the color wheel to see what happens when you mix these color families: Gold (yellow)+ Pink (red)= Orange. Warm tones can give me serious early 2000's fake tan vibes.
Ross knows what I'm talking about.
