You know what is a ridiculous beauty trend? Scented skin products. Fragrance is universally known to be a skin irritant, but it's in so many products. Moisturizers, serums, shampoo- all perfumed to death. There's even fragrance in make-up products, which is ridiculous because the scent dissipates almost immediately and the chemicals stick around.
You know I buy a lot of anyway? Scented skin products. I think the one brand that exemplifies the scented skin product madness more than any other is Too Faced. Too Faced realized that people just can't resist makeup that smells like foodstuffs and has latched on to this fact with a grappling hook.
Too Faced: "Would you like to buy a $50 palette of brown eye shadow colors you probably already have?"
Me: "No. That doesn't make any sense."
Too Faced: "But it smells like Jolly Ranchers."
